He was baptized Henri and used that name until some time after his return to Quyon after abandoning his common law wife Eva Pelletier and their son, who was baptized Jean Claude Chevrier.
He started using the name Georges, possibly because there was already another Henri Chevrier in Quyon.
In the obituaries of both his parents (Xavier, 1956 and Marie, 1973) he is named George.
He was buried in St. Mary’s RC Cemetery, Quyon, QC where Georges Chevrier shares a headstone with his sister and brother-in-law.
